Temporary Fillers

Juvederm
Juvederm is a brand new "next generation" FDA approved hyaluronic acid filler for correction of mild to moderate wrinkles and folds. It can last 6-9 months depending on your individual chemistry.

Restylane® and Perlane®
Restylane and Perlane are composed of Non-Animal Stabilized hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a substance found naturally in the human body. No allergy testing is required before use. It is currently used in facial folds and the lip borders. Topical numbing cream and/or a local block can be used to eliminate any discomfort from the injection.

Cosmoplast and Cosmoderm

It is used for facial folds and creases and soft tissue augmentation. It is great for cheeks and chin and where a large volume is required. It can cause swelling and bruising initially but lasts 1-2 years. Certain Precautions
In considering dermal fillers there are certain precautions. To help avoid bruising it is best to discontinue aspirin, Vitamin E, ibuprofen and other anti-inflammatory medicines for one week prior to the injection. If you suffer from facial or cold sores it is best to take medication for them prior to and after the injections.
