Fat Transfer
Fat transfer takes your own fat cells and re-injects them into places that need to be plumped up like the back of your hands. It can also be used to contour your face and fill in your cheeks, or for around the eyes where definition has been lost.

There is no possibility of an allergic reaction because your own fat is used. We can take fat from places you don’t need it like the inner and outer thigh or stomach, and put it where you have lost it.

Where Fat Transfer is used
Places that fat transfer works well are: the hollows of cheeks; the back of hands; under the eyes where volume has been lost; on laugh lines; and in the lips giving a more natural look and soft feel.

Outpatient Procedure
Fat transfer is an outpatient procedure. The area from which the fat is taken and the treatment site are treated with a local anesthetic. We use a small cannula to remove fat from the donor site where the fat is most tightly packed. (The place we take it from will be left unchanged.) We then remove excess liquids from the fat and re-inject just under the skin beneath the wrinkle or hollow.
