Restylane® and the new Restylane Lyft
Restylane is an FDA-approved filler also composed of hyaluronic acid. These fillers are currently used in facial folds and lip borders. Along with Restylane and Restylane Lyft, we also offer Restylane Silk and Restylane Kysse for the lips. Restylane Refyne and Restylane Defyne are ideal filler options for midface wrinkles.
Topical numbing cream can be used to eliminate any discomfort from the injection, and the lidocaine in the filler makes for an almost pain-free treatment. After receiving your initial correction a touch-up is recommended at 4-9 months.
How Does Restylane Work?
The body produces less hyaluronic acid with age, resulting in volume loss. Synthetic hyaluronic acid in Restylane bonds with the water molecules in the skin tissues, increasing the volume of the skin. This process can fill in moderate and deep lines and wrinkles, add volume to hollow areas and enhance the lips.
These products do not contain any animal proteins, meaning the chance of allergic reactions is incredibly low.
Is Restylane Right for Me?
People who have wrinkles and facial volume loss are ideal candidates for these fillers. Patients who have experienced volume loss on the backs of their hands are also good candidates.
These fillers have been approved by the FDA, and adults over the age of 21 can only use them. Individuals with a positive outlook and realistic expectations are excellent candidates for Restylane injections. Patients with active skin infections in the targeted areas must fully treat these before coming in for the procedure.
Do Restylane Fillers Require Downtime or Aftercare?
It does not necessitate any downtime or recovery time. Because of this, patients can immediately return to their schedule after treatment.
Common temporary adverse effects of these fillers include minor redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness, lump formation, and itching. These side effects are expected to subside shortly. Using ice packs can aid in the reduction of swelling and bruising.
Results to Expect After a Restylane Treatment
The effects of this procedure are visible almost immediately and can last up to eighteen months, depending on the specific Restylane product chosen. It is recommended that patients wait at least two weeks for the substance to properly settle before evaluating results.
After this product has been injected, the body will slowly and safely absorb the substance. The rate of absorption changes based on the patient’s overall condition. Regions that move often, such as the lips and the hands, break down the product at a faster rate. After the filler is fully absorbed, maintenance treatments will be needed.
“Absolutely awesome! I’ve been a client for years now, and the girls treat me like family. The know what I look to achieve and go out of their way to ensure that I am completely satisfied with my services. I look forward to our continued relationship for years to come.”
How Much Does Restylane Cost?
Your treatment will have a different cost associated with it based on several factors. The number of regions that need to be treated, the exact product chosen, and the number of syringes utilized during the process can all affect the price.
