Skin Tightening

What Causes Wrinkles?

Wrinkles are caused by the loss of collagen beneath the skin surface. Collagen is a basic building block of the skin and provides the foundation that supports your skin’s structure. Overall, exposure to ultraviolet radiation from sunlight accounts for about 90% of the symptoms of premature skin aging, and most of these effects occur by age 20. Collagen is also damaged by other factors, including: the natural aging process, cigarette smoking, and air pollution. When this happens, the skin appears thinner and becomes less elastic, resulting in facial lines, wrinkles, texture changes, and visible signs of aging. At Radiance, there are many skin tightening treatments to choose from. Call us at (210) 804-0772 for a consult to get you on your way to radiant skin

Wrinkle Reduction Solutions

Skin tightening is a #1 concern of our patients. Many don’t want invasive procedures such as a facelift with downtime or the expense. Botox and dermal fillers work to fill and give volume, but most are looking for skin tightening coupled with lifting.

Profound™

Profound is the new FDA-approved, radio frequency (RF) treatment for skin tightening and added volume. Dr. Laura Bennack is the first to bring this state-of-the-art treatment to San Antonio. It used to be called Evolastin.

Profound uses RF energy, coupled with micro-needles, and directs it into the deep dermis for dramatic tone and volumetric improvements of the skin in a single treatment.

The skin rejuvenation system is a minimally-invasive device that works from the outside in to tighten skin, increase skin volume and improve the oveall texture and tone of the skin. The laser works well on acne scars to improve their overall appearance.

Unlike some skin tightening treatments, most patients only need one session of Profound to achieve visible improvements in facial volume and skin tone.

Medical Grade Skin Care

Medical grade skin care should not be overlooked and is perhaps the most important weapon in wrinkle prevention and improvement. Medical grade sunscreen and wrinkle correctors such as SkinMedica® TNS Recovery Cream can fade wrinkles over time and keep them from coming back!
