Radiance Aestheticians and Medical staff provide a wide variety of medical and non-medical facials and Chemical Peels that can be customized to your skin type and your skin improvement goals. These range from no down-time hydrating facials that treat the superficial layers of the skin to prescription strength ingredients that treat the mid to deep layers of the face, such as retinoic acid, hydroquinone and TCA.
We provide pampering yet cutting edge treatments in a comfortable spa setting yet always remembering that we are first a medical office and your safety is number one priority. You will be asked to fill out paper work as in any doctors office. You may have to see our doctor or RN depending on whether you are having a prescription strength peel or otherwise.
We are concerned with your safety and the outcome of your procedure so PLEASE keep in mind the following hints for chemical peels:
- You may need an anti-viral medication if you are prone to oral herpes so take this before treatment or ask for a prescription as the trauma of a peel can cause an outbreak.
- A topical retinoid can increase the effectiveness and speed the recovery of your treatment so the use of this is highly recommended but stop a few days before your peel!
- We highly recommend a lightener and a retinol before your treatment, especially for mid or deep peels, and especially if you have a lot of damage or have olive or dark skin. This will prevent your skin from darkening from the treatment.
- SUNSCREEN…SUNSCREEN…before and after your treatment. we can tell you what to use for what type of sun exposure. we don’t expect you to be a hermit.
- Do NOT wax or use a depilatory for a week prior to your treatment.
The above may not apply to ALL chemical peels or to all patients. call and ask us before you schedule if you are unsure. also chemical peels are not for everyone.

Illuminize Peel®
This is the gentlest of the three Peels and is appropriate for mild skin imperfections. Vitalize Peel®
The Vitalize Peel combines the benefits of alpha-hydroxy and other peeling agents to offer a strong, but still gentle treatment that is appropriate for all skin types and is best for improving mild to moderate skin imperfections. This is the most popular of the three SkinMedica Peels and requires minimal downtime. It has been clinically proven to help reduce the visible signs of aging.
After one Vitalize Peel, you will notice:
- Improves skin’s texture and tone
- Lessens fine lines
- Creates healthier and more youthful appearance
- Dramatic results achieved with a series of three to six Peels
Typically causes 24-48 hours of dry, flaky peeling that takes place 3-4 days after the Peel is applied. Some people do not peel at all, however, and visible peeling is not required in order to achieve good results.
Rejuvenize Peel®
This is the Peel to use for moderate to severe skin imperfections. It will help smooth the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and roughness. You will notice improvement after just one Peel, and compelling results will be achieved from three to six Peels.

Typically causes 24-48 hours of dry, flaky peeling that takes place 3-4 days after the Peel is applied. Occasionally, a second round of dry, flaky peeling will occur after 1 week. Some people do not peel at all, however, and visible peeling is not required in order to achieve good results.
